AND WHILE YOU’RE ON THE BYWAY… be sure to stop at Alpine Lake, just 40 minutes northeast of Woodhaven. The 4-mile hike around the lake offers a great tour of the area. The trail begins at the road’s end near Pine Marten Campground and go clockwise.
